Travel to new worlds, completing missions to help save and protect the planets and their people from dangerous Space Pirates, to powerful Marauders and other hostile factions. There is also cross-play content with Beyond Earth and much of the “Diplomacy, Strategy, and Exploration” mechanics Civ fans are used to, but there does not appear to be any multiplayer support at this time.
Players will find dynamically generated maps, victory conditions, and enemies as well as deeply modular spaceship designs and customizable crew members. Taking place between Civilization V and the interplanetary settlements of Beyond Earth, Starships offers a familiar, albeit somewhat stripped down, experience as the recent major PC releases.
